Step into a spring garden

Nestled in the heart of Suffolk, the moated garden at Columbine Hall bursts into life through April and May. It begins with daffodils — the National Collection of Engleheart narcissus — followed by the fresh greening of the hornbeam hedges, the opening of the apple blossom, clouds of cow parsley, and a sea of tulips. They appear everywhere: mingling with wildflowers and grass, spilling from pots and troughs, and standing proudly in neat rows in the vegetable garden.
